We met for coffee on the beach at sunset
He taught me all the names of the trees that surrounded us
He talked all about his family and how he grew up, he opened up immediately
He told me his goals and dreams
& after the sun had set, we watched a storm roll in
Lightening struck & there were definite sparks
He made dream catchers and had attached a hummingbird feather
He came from nothing and has no socials
He's in the forest. He's up in the trees
But a man out at sea,
came back for me.
So I set him free.
